Since 1975, HEDCO, Inc. has helped clients and their communities improve, achieve and succeed by supporting their growth and progress – expanding its community investment and small business services. The organization is a certified Community Development Financial Institution, a U.S. Small Business Administration Microloan lender, as well as an administrator of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving’s Nonprofit Support Program.

Our Mission
HEDCO, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in March 1975. The organization collaborates with federal, state, and municipal community economic development agencies, community non-profit organizations and others to help start, finance, retain, and recruit small businesses in Connecticut’s 169 cities and towns.
HEDCO provides its small business clientele with business support needs that would be otherwise un-met or underserved. HEDCO fosters the community relationships crucial to sustained and broad-based economic growth and to provide small businesses throughout the region with alternative financing. The organization hires, retains, and develops an experienced, professional staff, who individually understand client and local market needs and collectively provide successful development outcomes.
